About Me
Hi, I’m Kate — a creative practitioner, artist, and maker passionate about using creativity to bring people together.
I’ve worked for over 30 years delivering engaging, hands-on workshops in schools, community spaces, galleries, and beyond. My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone is creative — and that making things together can help build connection, confidence, and joy.
My own artwork is playful and tactile, often combining found or reclaimed materials with layered textures, colour, and storytelling. I work across mixed media, collage, and installation — and I’m always exploring new ways to experiment.
Alongside this, I run Retroreworx, a sustainable vintage resale project that celebrates second-hand style, reimagined objects, and giving things new life. It’s a natural extension of my creative ethos — thoughtful reuse, creative styling, and sustainable joy.
What I Value
Hands-on creativity — art that’s accessible, exploratory, and fun
Inclusivity & community — making spaces where everyone can participate
Sustainability — reusing, recycling, and celebrating what already exists
Collaboration — working with people, not just for them
